I know that I said that I was not going to acknowledge the changing season.
However, it has become apparent to me that subtle changes are happening in The Glade.
More hearty lasagnas are being created in the slow cooker.
Throws are appearing all over the house.
Hot drinks are being accompanied by comforting treats.
Gerbers in the fish bowl vase have been swapped for fir cones.
Candles are being lit and the citrusy smells of summer are being replaced by spicy warming ones.
Lamps are being switched on!
Yes changes are definitely afoot here on The Glade.
Do you make any changes in your home as the seasons change?
Thank you Caro and Jess for hosting!
Have a lovely day!
Love your little changes Lisa! The throws are our in force in our house but I have to admit that despite my complete love for autumn I haven’t made any other seasonal changes to the house. But it’s October tomorrow so I may just do a few things this weekend! Xxx

Ahhh nice post and liking all your little changes embracing the change of the season. I think I may have to introduce this to our home too – might even be an opportunity to have to go out and purchase some new throws lol xxx

I have a lovely snug feel now after reading that Lisa and seeing your photos 🙂 I have my scented candle here on the table beside me and there is a big bowl of leaves, chestnuts and acorns on the windowsill that the boys collected the other day.
I love Autumn.

The throws are out in full force here too! As is the ugly electric heater as it’s been pretty chilly in the evenings, but I don’t want to put the heating on for a while yet. I am also pretty obsessed with Autumn flowers and nature finds this year. Love your pinecones in the bowl! #HomeEtc

We’ve never really rung the seasonal changes apart from the lights and heating but I do love the idea of making some small decorative changes. Thank you for inspiring X #HomeEtc

Oh me too, it’s getting darker in the mornings as well as the evenings too. I plan to just keep busy and try to ignore it this year. Thanks lovely xx

I really loved this post, I’d never thought of it like that, all the subtle changes we make. We are having a beautiful Spring here so far and I guess some of the changes are opposite to you. No need for throws at the moment, windows and doors are opening up, fresh air filling the house. My daughter is sneezing a lot so we are buying more tissues.
