Cor!! This Friday has come around quickly. Once more I am linking five happy things from this week to Amy’s Five On Friday. Once more it’s about the little things . Everyone posts a lovely range of things, here are mine;
The eldest paid us a flying visit and we went to a local Greek restaurant to celebrate. When we were first married we lived really near to this restaurant but never went now, we have been twice in as many months, it really is lovely. It was a fantastic thing to do on a Wednesday night, it really broke the week up.
We have been taking Jack out on the field next to the golf course for a proper run this week, whenever the rain has stopped. Most of the time he has the whole field to himself, although he would prefer other dogs to be there. He runs between me and himself like a lunatic – best game in the world apparently.
Himself presented me with these chocolates completely out of the blue on Tuesday evening . It was not a special occasion or anything, all a bit weird really, however the girls and I can testify that they were very nice.
The Glade is looking a bit overgrown at the moment, I think the idea is that it is to be left to look like a meadow and to allow the wildlife to thrive. However, this isn’t ideal for all our little people, the grass is now taller than some of them! Nevertheless, I did remember to take this picture of our Fairy’s door this week to show you. Clearly a Fairy who takes pride in her clean looking front door lives there.
This Lemon Drizzle cake is cooling as I type, it’s to take to work today with some Chocolate Brownies. It’s been a busy week and we are starting a Friday Club were we each take it in turns to supply a treat, great idea eh?!?
I will be busy this weekend making cupcakes for our first Glade Baby Shower, so exciting!
I am reclaiming my blog this week after Miss Glade mistook my family ramblings for a Fashion Blog ha! She had a wonderful birthday and has asked me to thank you all for your lovely comments and good wishes.
Himself has treated me to a very early Anniversary present and updated my phone. It’s great, I love it but, I am struggling to get used to some new things. I have also had to change my email address (totally unconnected) so together, I have lost some emails and messages, because it wasn’t synced, I am hopeful that this is just teething issues!
This duck appeared on my route into work yesterday, I have no idea where he came from or why. This kind of spontaneity is what I have really missed in my four years working away from the city. It is great to be able to hop onto a train in the morning and catch up on my emails and twitters while, being transported into the big city. I just love Liverpool and definitely think of it as my home city, I am delighted to be back!
I am also delighted with this little Acer Tree. I honestly thought it had died and kept meaning to throw it out, but just look at it now! This photo doesn’t really do it justice, it is beautiful and with an abundance of buds still to open!
Still in the garden, I can’t decide whether or not to paint this fence. I canvassed for opinions on Instagram , what do you think? Should himself paint it or not! Did you see what I did there? delegation ladies delegation!
I received a parcel yesterday from Liz Earle. I have been using most of these products since 1995 when the range was launched. Last weekend I even managed to procure this month’s supply of Cleanse and Polish at 1995 prices – fab eh?!?
