At the end of each of my posts I always instruct the reader to ‘Have a lovely day’.
In light of the abhorrent events in the world over the last week, it got me thinking about how does anyone have a lovely day after hearing such terrible news?
Indeed, I was in two minds as to whether to even put it on my first post after Friday’s news.
It was my own little act of defiance that made me include it, to change would mean they had won!
I found this set of instructions on life hack.org and thought it was a nice mixture of helping yourself to enjoy the day, while at the same time trying to make someone else’s a little bit lovelier.
While I am not naive enough to think that I can change the world, at least I can try to change or influence, my own little world and the little world’s of those who share it.
Also, each of the actions are small enough not to be too taxing.
I do hope I try to do most of these already, but there is always room for improvement.
I hope this helps you to have a lovely day, one action at a time!
Let us not let them win! x x x
Your quote is so true – I do think laughing, smiling and being polite makes the world a happier place for most.

I love this quote and its words of wisdom. Such a gentle reminder of the little things we can do each day to make our own day and someone else’s day more beautiful and happy. Sometimes it really is the little things that can make a big difference to how we feel. A lovely piece of inspiration. Thank you.

It’s these little influences in our immediate sphere that helps influence the sphere of those whose day we have brightened and so on…and that is how we change the world. So the only thing I disagree with is your stance on if you are changing the world. TY for some brightness and hope in a week full of sadness.
